One of Gabriel's proudest achievements is his full collection of Blue Peter badges. Each one represents a different talent, skill, or creative project, and together, they tell the story of his curiosity and determination. He keeps them all displayed, a badge of honor (literally!) for his hard work and imagination.

The Blue Badge: Bringing James and the Giant Peach to Life

His blue badge came from a comic book he made inspired by James and the Giant Peach. Gabriel carefully sketched and coloured scenes from the story, bringing the magical world of James, the peach, and the fantastical characters to life. It was a project that let him showcase his love of storytelling and art.

The Green Badge: Recycling and Rocket Building

Gabriel earned his green badge for an eco-friendly project where he turned cardboard boxes into a rocket. With paint sticks and astronaut stickers, he created a colourful masterpiece, complete with a launch pad in the garden. It was a fun way to combine creativity and recycling, and he was so excited to share his rocket with Blue Peter.

The Purple Badge: A Loyal Viewer

For the purple badge, Gabriel watched several episodes of Blue Peter and shared his thoughts about what he enjoyed most. Whether it was watching daring adventures, learning new skills, or getting inspired by other badge-winners, he loved being part of the Blue Peter community and sharing his enthusiasm for the show.

The sports badge is one we can’t quite pin down! Gabriel has tried so many sports over the years, from archery, skateboarding to athletics, that we can't recall which one he wrote about. Whatever it was, his passion for staying active and challenging himself earned him this special badge.

Gabriel’s silver badge came from a recipe book he made, compiling all his favourite dishes. From simple bakes to hearty homemade chicken nuggets, he wrote out the instructions, added pictures, and shared his passion for tasty food. It was a creative way to combine his love of cooking with his love of achieving a badge.

A Full Collection, and a Lot of Pride

Gabriel’s Blue Peter badges are more than just keepsakes—they’re a reminder of all the projects, skills, and adventures he’s tackled with enthusiasm and creativity.

Every time he sees them, they inspire him to keep trying new things, learning, and exploring. And for me, they’re a wonderful way to celebrate all the incredible things he’s accomplished so far.
