MEET PLATY
Platy the platypus became the sidekick in every adventure was Gabriel's real favourite cuddly toy since he was a toddler.
He came from Gabriel's real life into Gabriel's imagined one to help Gabriel solve problems and perplexing puzzles with a strong sense of can do.
What came out of Gabriel the one-hour calls became vivid, specific, governed by the internal logic of a ten-year-old boy's imagination.
It later turned out to be a world other children were keen to enter.

When a child is handed a blank page and told to fill it, the blank page wins.
When a child is given full permission to go anywhere, invent anything and know they quite simply can't be wrong at it is their story something entirely different happens.
The child who said she couldn't write fills pages. The child who had never finished a story creates a world of his own. The child who was labelled difficult, unmotivated, too restless to sit still, stays voluntarily. Because the story was his.

PROOF AND EVIDENCE
When nearly 500 children entered the world Gabriel built, they didn't just read it. They wanted to build their own.
Across nine UK primary schools in Bradford and Gloucestershire, children were given the same conditions Gabriel had: full permission, a scribes, and a world that showed them what their imagination could become.
What happened was evaluated using rigorous qualitative research methodology in social science. Not because we expected extraordinary results. Because the results were extraordinary and they needed to be documented properly.
