Bringing Sonic to Life

Gabriel has always loved Sonic the Hedgehog, so when we discovered Hama beads, it seemed like the perfect way to bring his favourite characters to life. We sat down together and began crafting Sonic and his trusty sidekick, Tails. It took some patience and a lot of bead arranging, but piece by piece, the familiar shapes of Sonic and Tails started to take form.

Gabriel was completely absorbed, carefully choosing the perfect shades of blue for Sonic and yellows' for Tails. We followed the pattern, pressed the beads, and just like that, created his beloved characters. Watching them come together felt like we were really bringing Sonic into the world, at least in our own creative way.

One weekend, Gabriel was away, and I decided to surprise him with something special. I spent hours making Silver, one of his other favourite characters from the Sonic universe. Silver turned out bigger than expected, but I knew Gabriel would love it. When he returned and saw Silver waiting for him, his face lit up with excitement. It was like Sonic’s world had grown, right here in our home.

For Gabriel, it wasn’t just about making characters; it was about imagining what it would be like if Sonic and his friends truly came to life. Now, every time we look at those Hama bead creations, it's a reminder of the fun we had bringing a bit of Sonic's magic into our world.
