Snowdrops at Kingston Lacey
Kate Markland
Recently, Gabriel and I embarked on a lovely adventure to Kingston Lacey, a beautiful National Trust property in Dorset. As we arrived, the first signs of spring were peeking through the winter chill—snowdrops in full bloom, creating a stunning white carpet across the grounds.
The Beauty of Snowdrops
Stepping into the grounds of Kingston Lacey felt like entering a fairytale. The stunning gardens were adorned with delicate clusters of snowdrops, their white petals glistening in the sunlight.
We took our time wandering through the gardens, marvelling at the snowdrops.
Exploring the Grounds Together
Kingston Lacey is not just about the snowdrops; it boasts expansive grounds to explore. After soaking in the beauty of the flowers, we set off on a little adventure of our own. The vast lawns and woodlands offered plenty of space for Gabriel to run around, and I loved watching him discover new paths and hidden spots.
We found ourselves wandering along winding trails, spotting other signs of spring along the way.
The Value of a Children’s National Trust Card
One thing that really stood out to me during our day at Kingston Lacey was the incredible value of having a Children’s National Trust card. Not only does it provide access to beautiful properties like Kingston Lacey, but it also opens up a world of outdoor adventures, nature trails, and opportunities for Gabriel.
For families looking to explore nature and enjoy quality time together, the Children’s National Trust card is a fantastic investment. It encourages us to spend more time outdoors, exploring different locations and learning about the natural world. Plus, it’s a great way to make family memories without breaking the bank!
Conclusion: A Day to Remember
Our day at Kingston Lacey was truly special. From the enchanting snowdrops to our nature explorations, it was a beautiful reminder of the joys of spending time outdoors. Gabriel’s enthusiasm and curiosity brought an extra layer of magic to our adventure, and I loved seeing him so engaged with the world around him.
If you’re considering exploring nature with your family, I highly recommend visiting a National Trust property—especially with a Children’s National Trust card in hand. It’s an excellent way to create lasting memories while discovering the beauty of our natural heritage.
